The Russian superstars Natalia Osipova and Ivan Vasiliev, principal artists with both the Mikhailovsky Ballet and American Ballet Theatre (Osipova would, in addition, join The Royal Ballet later that year) find time in their busy schedules to perform with The Australian Ballet in Don Quixote. The roles of Basilio and Kitri are signature roles for the on-and-offstage partners, and they wow audiences and inspire the company with their technical pyrotechnics and cheeky charm.
