The premiere of Robert Helpmann’s Perisynthion, a companion to his Sun Music. This “Moon Music” uses ropes and trampolines to get the dancers airborne. The work has been hurriedly reset to Sibelius’ First Symphony because the commissioned score by Malcolm Williamson had failed to arrive on time.
